Yep, we've stayed in our sled trailer, both when we go to the East side sledding, and a couple times for hunting camp.  Mine is a 27' Interstate snowmobile trailer.  I had them insulate it fully when I ordered it, just for that purpose.  I put a Suburban propane RV furnace in it, and built a box under it and a door in the floor for a portable generator.  I put 4' florescent lights in it, (which are too bright), and a 1500 watt Cadet heater in it for those times when we have a place to plug in in.  (It works, but my wife still wants a "nice" trailer to stay in).

I got a little counter unit on Craigslist out of an old camper van a guy was parting out, that we use for a "kitchen".  It's about 8' long and has a three burner stove, a sink, the counter, three drawers in the front, a cabinet under the sink, and the fresh and grey water tanks in it.  It's actually a pretty cool little self contained setup.  I put 2" angle iron on the ends and nutserts in my trailer floor, and just I drag it in, bolt it down, and fill the the water tank when we get close to where we are going.

I used to have a bunch of pictures posted on the Snowest forum.  In fact, I bet if you get on that forum, there will be a thread or two on trailer mods.  I'll try to find some pics. If I was going to do it over, I do like another guy on here did, and put my furnace in a box, under the floor, and have duct work built.  I did mod my furnace so it could mount flat on the wall, and not stick out into the trailer like most do, but it still takes up interior space.  I have a wood stove for mine with an adapter so the stack goes out one of the fuel doors.  Haven't used it in a long time, as the furnace is really handy!

Starting to look more like a camp trailer. Window and flooring installed, a couple of beer holders :IBCOOL:, and a couple of cutouts in the countertop to rest guns against. Also going to put in a corkboard for posting kill pics as they come around.
Other than some trim work, going to call it done for this year and will be putting it to use in a couple weeks. Will see how it goes and what additions/changes it may need.....prolly another window, and maybe a stereo, sink, portapotty.

I gotta ask, why don't you just use the camper parked next to it?
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Some times we do, but a lot of the places we go I would never tow a heavy 21ft trailer into.

Went from a 4" drop to a straight.  Should give me the clearance I need but if it doesn't I will do a leaf over axle.  Will need a ladder to get in it then  :chuckle:

I'm going to pick up a 7x14 or 7x16 eventually to haul our gear. And make a small kitchen/bathroom in. Love what you've got going!

ttnt.com is another good source of info for enclosed trailer builds. Lotta good stuff on that sight

Looks great Nock Nock.

Did you install any type of stabilizer jacks?  Our work trailer can get a little sketchy when it isn't attached to the truck, mostly when walking towards the back.
