Here is a Whitetail From Georgia that I mounted probably 5 years ago.  The beam on the deers right side that looks normal is growing behind the mess of tines.  It also had a mess of stickers on the back side of the rack.  I believe this was 16 point by Eastern standers (counting all points over 1" in length).

damn that is a nice whitetail!

here is a picture of the buck i shot 2 years ago.{ sorry about the nasty "dead deer in the shop" photo, i didn't have any "in the field photos"} he was about 100 yards away from that crazy blacktail i shot this year. i have found a big congregation of bucks in a really small area. i saw 9 deer this whole season. 3 does and 6 bucks, 5 of those six bucks were trophy blacktail. i am new to  hunting "big blacktail" but is it normal to find a bunch of big boys in such close quarters with each other? i saw all six in about a 1/2 mile area. ???

gnarly buck, but that beard steals the show. Wow, that is impressive.  You should start a topic for the coolest beard.

Big bucks are like big largemouths.  Where you find one, is likely where you'll find more.  Let's get together and I'll take a closer look, just to be sure  :chuckle:

Sounds like you've got half the battle figured out - finding out where they live.  Good genetics and age will grow racks like the one you're holding there.  Damn fine buck!!

Bucklucky what happened to the rack in your pic?  Looks like someone shot the antler or it fell of the wall.

The dude was 16 when he killed it back in the 70's and shot it in the horn , knocked it goofy then finished it off . That is a monster blacktail. It is like 20 tall and would have been close to 22 wide if it matched up. Its way bigger than it looks , trust me  ;)
