Simmons shark broadheads?
«

Does anyone know how the blood trials on these are? I've found reviews that say little too no blood, then there's pictures with enormous entry wound and exit wound, bigger than that of a 243 Winchester by a very very lot, and don't see how that would result in a bad blood trail.

My experience is all with recurves and longbows and if you want to follow a red river to your downed game, go with simmons. Best broadhead. Ever. Period. If I had to only shoot 1 broadhead forever it'd be a simmons.

Have a favorite blade? The land shark is the only one they have in 100 grain, and my bow is sighted in with 100 grain field tips.

I shoot traditional so use the heavier heads. Had to tigersharks with a weighted tip for 175 grain total, destroyed hogs down in Texas. Our joke was "use the simmons only on the hogs you want pre quartered". Now I switched to ash shafts and have the safaris and I'm pretty impressed. I hope to learn on the 1st how great they are.

And even though they're huge, they fly the same as field points for me.

I have a compound bow set at just over 40lbs, it's my first bow I'm really hoping to do my first bow hunting this year. Do you think the land sharks would cut a big enough whole to get the good blood trail, or should I get 175gr field points and tiger sharks?

Any of the simmons heads will do great. If your shooting 100 grain heads, get the land shark. It's one of his top selling I thought. They cost a bit much and they do use round sharpeners rather then the normal stones but it's worth it. His sharpening system is money but a cheaper one would be the lansky 4 ceramic rod box. Has pre cut slots for 20 and 25 degrees. 2 medium, 2 fine rods. Super easy, gets em shaving sharp

Yeah, the land shark 100gr is only $35, which is cheaper than the g5 montecs I looked at, and not much more than the muzzy phantoms.
I'm really excited about hunting this year, thank you very much, I really appreciate it!

Remember to sensor your kill photos once you get a deer! Most people don't like to see all the gore.
