Thanks for the recipe Ice. Does the oatmeal need to be cooked or can you just add hot water like you do instant oatmeal.
After seeing you "08 mouse" post, I ain't eatin any of your oatmeal!
Cool.....one word of warning, ground flaxseed goes rancid pretty quickly and when it does it gets bitter and produces toxins. Its better to grind it as needed. I like making homemade granola myself the more dried fruit the better..... dried cranberries rock

Just saw on TV that it is supposed to be far more beneficial to you if you consume it in the cround version.

Hmmm, hadnt seen that Quiona grain at my local environmental veggie wacko aisle yet... I will have to check it out...Boy do I look out of place in the whole foods section. NOthing but lightly bearded women in dreadlocks with hairy armpits and legs, sporting broom stick skirts and army boots. One of them had a rougher 5 oclock shadow than I did and when I went over to get a plastic bag near her, she smelled like a locker room. Her mate was apparently also a female, but didnt show it. Something is wrong with Olympia.
