Looking for GMU 454/King County elk access area
« on: September 26, 2007, 10:29:36 PM »
I've spent years hunting down around the Lewis River area, but am getting tired of all the hunters from Oregon and all the houses going up everywhere.  After last years Sportsmans show and seeing the huge horns that came out of King County during modern firearm season, I had to ask myself with so much of the 454 unit and King County being a firearms restricted area, where did anyone find access in the unit/county to have a shot at some decent animals.

I'm looking for roads that will get me to walkin only areas and am wondering if someone can point me in the right direction.  Not looking for anyones "honey-hole", just a point in the right direction.  I'd like to find some areas I can start walking and scouting before the animals get pushed around too much.  Hell, anyone need a hunting partner?  I'm looking for new area and new partners.  Seems like all the guys I know that say they hunt and scout alot, I can't get them to get off their asses to go scouting.

Drop me a pm with or without info on the 454unit/King County area, and I can get back to you with my contact phone number and maybe we can set something up to go out scouting soon.

Rick
