dog names

hey yall give me some names , i just got a new yellow lab and i cant choose a name
i named my black lab GIRL because she was my first female dog and she just picked up on that my yellow lab i was thinking - roscoe , hunter , or what suggestion yall got here are pics of him

I have always liked normal human names for my dogs.  The older the name the better.

My best hounds were named Preacher, Echo, Tug

....I would always just watch them and then find one that kind of fits.   Even if he has papers you don't have to name him immediatly.  Remember...pick a name that is not going to conflict with your commands.  Dogs are smart but they don't know the difference between Bo....NO....Whoa while hunting.  The last pointers I named were Caitlin because she was high strung, and Abigail because she was calm but super efficient.  Just seemed to fit.  Always had females sorry.    You can add in anything you want even with good blood lines just make sure you finish up with the money side.   IE...Cole (his name) von bird dog liteforce (mom or dads name).  That way you get the blood line in for breeding selling, and you just call him by what ever his name is.

You looking for a bird or just bird parts.  You really don't need a live bird at this point.  All you need is the wings and skin.  You can buy those from someone who raises them.  You don't want an old nasty rotten one.  Just keep the parts in the freezer and they will last forever.  Pidgeons are used because they return to the coop and are easy to take care of.  Also much cheaper then game birds to use.

Watch a couple of good westerns and you'll have a name. Heck the entire family likes Lonesome Dove so we got a dog named Gus and a grandson with McCrae for his middle name.

Sportsmans warehouse carry's the wings, that where i got mine to train my pu.

As for names, I named my Hemi but his personality earned him a few nick names, like Puss and Wiggles......

my next dog will likely be a GWP and will be loomis if it is a male or sage if it is a female.

How about Ruger. Nice two syllable name and would be a bonus if you shoot a ruger. I always try and keep my dog names to one or two syllables. My girl I just pick up two weeks back is named Sofie.

I see others like the old names.  Sofie is awesome.  Love it.  I think boneaddict on here raises birds, and if he does not have what you want he could probably get you in the right direction.  I don't know what sportsmans has, but I just always used wild birds.  A little out of season now, and my cat is not as young as she used to me.  She was a crazy good quail killer.  Don't attack me on that....trust me she never threatened the population in town where they could not be hunted anyway.
