Question, is it legal to shoot geese with a bow in a firearm restricted area?

Why wouldn't it be?  It is legal to hunt geese with a bow.  Having said that, it would depend on if the area had "projectile" restrictions or was specifically closed to hunting.

It is but, the golf courses won't let hunt even though they have a lot of goose damage
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Yes, it's legal to use a bow.  As what was mentioned flu, flu's arrows work great.  I have tried the compound as well, but it's easy to loose the arrows.  Many areas have smartened up to include projectile in the terms, so that it also covers bows.  Just read the rules to verify that archery is legal in the area.
