Hornady SST or GMX bullets for a 7mm08.

Just wondering witch bullet you'll like the GMX is a 95% copper bullet that retains weight.  Bears are the primary target.

We use the SSTs with really good results.   I am very comfortable with them.

We have no experience with the GMXs.

I shot my bear last year with a 7mm mag and 154gr sst @ 629 yards. I recovered the bulle. the lead separated from the jacket. But I did find the lead and jacket both stuck under the opposite shoulder skin about 1" apart.

I've shot a few deer with sst's in 308 and 30.06 at much shorter distance with great results. They straight up do damage at close range under 100 yards.

Either one D-Rock ...they are both Hornaday bullets ! I favor the Interlock ...they are been spanking bears for along time ...from close range to as far as you can see ... :chuckle:

D, those SSTs are lethal. I knocked a bear on its side from 337 yards before having time to take one step. Definition of DRT. They fly really well too.
