Goose Decoy Spread?
« on: August 09, 2015, 07:23:40 PM »
I just bought a pack of 6 goose decoys. They are the Avain-x fusion pack with one sentry, 2 walkers, and 3 feeders. I was wondering how I would put these 6 decoys into a spread because all I'm using are these 6 decoys and not buying anymore this year. So I would like some advice on how to set these 6 decoys into a spread in a field so that geese will come into them because I don't know how I should go about setting them up?

what I do is you have your duck decoy spread the way you want it, then you take those six honkers and separate them from the ducks, you put them either on the left if the wind is blowing to the right, put them to the right when the wind is blowing right. and on the other side of the duck when the wind is in our back. Put the feeders closer in to the spread, and put the uprights on the outermost. makes it look more realistic

Best advice would be to go look at the birds themselves and see what they are like in small family groups.  With small numbers like that "decoy setup" isn't that critical.
