GOT MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT!
« on: August 13, 2015, 09:49:44 AM »
My birthday was back in June but I decided this year instead of a party I was just gunna buy myself a new toy. I went back and forth to see if I could justify it and well...it worked out for the better. yesterday I picked up my Kimber TLE Custom 2 in .45! and all it cost me? I had to buy my wife a new gun as well, ah shucks! She wound up with a S&W Shield for when she rides her motorcycle. I love negotiations that go well. Ill do a range and accuracy review when I get a chance to get out and play like I did last time.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!

Very nice, that thing is sweet!!!!

Hmmm, I've got a birthday coming up in a little less than a month and I've been drooling over a Sig TACOPS TB for the last six weeks.  I think the pressure is just becoming to much to handle with all you guys getting yourselves early/late birthday presents.  I better get one ordered up or I just won't feel good about myself.  What I really need is another or bigger safe but I think I can still squeeze one more in there.  ;)

Thanks buddy. I have been drooling over one of these for YEARS! Never could justify pulling the trigger on it so to speak.

Ya know, not only do you have good taste but I like the way you think, that's actually a really good idea.  Do you think I'd be pushing things a little much if I got another suppressor to go along with that TACOPS TB???

I think if the "Warden" aka my wife, knew how much this site has cost me, she'd probably block it from my computer. :chuckle:

I think a new suppressor is a must! would you buy a new hunting rifle and not get a scope? or a new carry pistol and not get the holster for it? It is in fact your duty sir to buy the complete package :)

P.S. If your wife asks it was all MY fault. so in all actuality you cant be blamed for your actions. :)

Thank you but I would never get elected. I'm too honest, have too much common sense and I have...what's that called...oh yeah, a brain! at least half of one lol.

Keep us posted man let us know how it turns out. I have always been a fan of the 1911's and I love the twist Sig has put on theirs. I think the 1911 gets a bad rap cause unfortunately to get a good one you'll have to pay for it. These days people want Kimber/Sig/Springfield ect. 1911's that normally cost close to $1000 or more for Kel-Tec prices, and it just doesn't exist.

The pressure was just to much to handle AND I have the most infamous birth date in all of U.S. history so I treated myself to an early birthday present.  It's supposed to be here Monday.

Yes, Sig 1911 TACOPS TB fullsize.  Can't decide between Osprey, Octane, or  AAC Ti Rant on the cans.

The Warden already asked me WHY I got the threaded barrel model since all I have is rifle or rimfire suppressors, well, DUH, why do you think I got the TB model and using your logic about the rifle and scope, my reply was you can't get a gun with a threaded barrel and NOT get the suppressor, too.  I tried to lighten the mood by joking about it being bad luck if you do.  Ya, as you can imagine, she didn't see the humor in it because she just gave me that whatever look and rolled her eyes at me.

I may have tipped her over the edge a bit, though, when I couldn't help myself and asked her if she was still going to Cabelas with me tomorrow to look at a new safe.  She didn't even give me a WTF or anything, I just got a blank look and she walked off.  I did offer to let her put some of her things in the new safe since it'll have a lot more room in it, right, like I'll ever let that happen. lol

Sooo, Mongo, what are we having for dinner and do I need to bring my own pillow?!. lol
