Inflatable repainting
« on: August 12, 2015, 07:36:59 PM »
Hey guys I had a quick question I was hoping someone could help me out with. I got
My hands on some inflatable duck decoys and some are in rough shape most still good but the others that are rough I was just wondering if there was anyway you could repaint them or if I should just toss them. Thank you

I've got a bunch of the old rubber inflatables as well.  I like them for boat hunting because they are quiet to deploy but mine are getting quite faded as well.  Hope someone has a good answer.

Don't know what would stick to it.
I think camo netting would work to keep the inflatable covered up.
Maybe tie some weights around the outside bottom edges to keep it from flopping around in the wind.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

I used to duck hunt out of a red inflatable, camo burlap worked great as it was heavy enough not to need weights.  There is paint that will work on inflatable boats, but these decoys are more rubber than rubberized fabric.

I wouldn't try to paint them.  Just try them and see how they work.  In a good spot it probably won't matter.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
