 Depending on where you live the difference in access fees would be made up by gas savings driving that far.

I've been wondering the same thing and checking Orting weather forecast 5x a day probably haha. I think it will be but they are probably scared with the rest of the state burning. Hopefully it downpours

Yup I've had ALL summer off and haven't got to go mountain biking or bear hunt or do anything around here in the woods killing me... I talked 2 of my friends into buying permits they are pissed

I got a feeling if we get rain they will have it open on the first.. Last time it only rained a day and it opened so with 4 days of rain in the forecast right now we are looking good if it happens

I was looking at NE Washington IEP land, it's similar to Hancock. They have 116000 acres and sell permits for access for hunting and firewood cutting. The family permit is 65 dollars. You get 5 cords of wood with that. Hancock is 375! I can't believe the difference in price....Pretty sure the quality of hunting is better too with some of the pictures guys have been posting from trail cameras

The nice part about hancock is i only live 10 mins from the gate so I can run and do evening hunts..

Will have to checkout IEP (have no idea who that is). You're saying hunting is better at IEB or Kapowsin?
One nice thing about kapowsin is the hunting pressure seems really low. Seems like many permits people buy end up being for berry picking, hiking, etc. Have noticed a few people out there dog training and walking.

Rifle season can get pretty packed in there but for archery it seems pretty good and the kaposwin side the bridge gate side seems to get hit alot harder seems like you see more deer over there.
