Ducks in Pend Oreille
« on: September 23, 2015, 06:42:34 AM »
Hi folks,

So I moved officially to Newport in May.  I came from Tri-Cities where I had ample opportunity to hunt ducks.  Having moved up here I really do not know where to go and I am looking for some pointers.  Are there any good walk in areas in Pend Oreille county?  I do not have a boat.  I will take whatever info you can give me!

hahaha!  A boat is on the list, but so is a house which means the boat has to take a his as far as priority.  Lol.  I know of a couple walk in areas but I was hoping there was some wdfw land that I might be missing on their map.

The nice thing is that Newport is the county seat.
Start scouting and find out who the land owners are in places that look promising.
Assessors office can help.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

I would be lost were it not for the county assessors land map online!  That thing has found me loads of hunting land!  I will check it out and see what I can find that is on the water.
