Kent Waterfowl?
« on: January 12, 2009, 02:49:05 PM »
Driving to work along 167 today and I see a guy in full on camo carrying a large bag, (decoys?), and shotgun slung over his shoulder. This was just south of where Smith Brother's farm is? Didn't know you could legally do this in Kent, anyone have an idea if you really can?

We used to hunt Smith Bros all the time. Were told we couldnt about 5 years ago but there could still very well be some holes in the city limits.

I thought it was sketchy too...would be awesome if you could. Always thought the fields down off Orillia road would be good to.

South of 277th is unicorp. King county, not Kent.  There have been blinds up there for many years and they are fixed up every year.

You may have it right there. It was the last field right before the house manufacturer there. I was driving by it today and noticed it looked like an area where they have created a new wet land. A few trees are up there but are made to look like perches. Any clue if it's private or public there? Might be worth heading into...

Those are WSDOT property. You'll be trespassing. Tried to take my dog in there to use the water for blind work. Had a WSDOT guy toss me out about a year ago when I still lived in Auburn. The ponds across the street at the Salmon Warehouse are great for training.....private owned, nobody has ever hassled me there. To close to stuff for my comfort for hunting...Paul
