Traditions Front Sight - Any aftermarkets?
« on: August 20, 2015, 05:32:15 PM »
I have a Traditions Vortek and have been trying to figure out some options for the front sight besides the standard Williams fiber optic that came on it. I would like to keep the fiber optic but have a thinner post and maybe a sight hood. Also, a shorter post would help as right now I have to shim the rear sight to be on target.
I cannot seem to find very many aftermarket sights for this. Checked Brownells, Cabelas, Williams, Lyman, etc. Nothing is listed as it would fit. Does anyone know if something listed for another brand would also fit for a front sight?
I thought about just going after it with a file and seeing if I can modify the current one myself to accomplish what I want and buy another of this same one if it doesn't work out but I am not sure.
This is what is on it right now.
