Oregon Trail Laser Cast Bullets...

Anyone ever use Laser Cast Bullets made by Oregon Trail??? Any opinions on them?  I ordered a box of them for my 44 Mag Redhawk.  .44 Caliber 240grn SWC.  Any load recomendations using either Unique or 2400?  Thanks ahead of time for any info.

I've shot around 1000 of thier 44 240s. One box was the swc the other was thr rnfp. Although both were accurate the leade my barrels really bad. I shot them through a Blackhawk and a Super Redhawk, both with 7.5 barrels. Load was a max charge of Win 296, 24 or 25 grs cant remember which.

I shot the Oregon Trails Bullet in my Ruger Super Redhawk. It was the 200gr. round nose. .432" diameter Use 7.5grs. of Universal Clays powder and a CCI 300 primer. Very pleasant load to shoot.

i shoot them alot, good led bullet nice and hard led. they will led your barrel a little. the best way to get it out is to buy some copper core boy scrub pads from safe way or where ever, cut it into small enough pieces to wrap around a old barrel brush, i use a old 38 brush for my 45 and then run that chore boy covered brush down the barrel dry. yes dry the steel in your barrel is harder than the copper it wont scratch it. i do this until i see most of the lead out and then clean as usual, if theres lead still in the barrel i take the chore boy to it again

I love their bullets.  Load them up  in my .44 Spl. loads for target shooting.  They are flat awesome for consistency.  I have also used them for my .45 ACP plinking loads.  they shoot great, feed great.

I've used Oregon Trail 30 caliber, 44 and 45 caliber (.452 & .459") bullets.  They've all shot well.  I'd recommend buying them .001" or so over bore size.  Great value for the $.

I you fire a couple jacketed rounds after shooting the lead bullets it usually cleans the leading right out.
