Refreshing an Eliminator ground blind

Has any one redone one of these ? I used to use a certain kind of flocking for snowy conditions, worked very well. The last time i used it in the snow i used a different brand. For some reason, it now has a reddish cast to it, not sure if it was the flock or the chemicals in the dirt i used to mud up. Is it time for a new one, or has anyone had success reviving one ?

You could always paint it. Use a lighter brown/tan latex paint. Thin the paint with water- roughly two parts water to one part paint. You want to really get the paint thin to soak in as well as remain pliable. You could even do a couple colors to camo it up. Try and match the color of your paint to the type of dirt you hunt most. Remember- when it gets wet it will darken up, that is why I recommend going a little lighter in color.

Or you could just wet it down and really mud it up heavy a couple of times and see if the mud won't mask the reddish cask. Either way you should see some kind of result. Those blinds are pretty nice- and NOTHING made today is of the same quality, it would be a shame to just ditch it.

I wouldn't paint it.  Just mud it out.  Find some good dirt, soil, add water and wear some rubber gloves or a brush.  Mud it out good and that is your best natural, non-reflective base you can use.  I don't care what color the blind is, after its mudded out then brushed up, it's perfect.
I was looking at a few of my Eliminator blinds and they are kind of redish as well.  UV's fading the image from being left out.  They still hunt great.  Once camoed out, you don't see the denier.

Thanks, I really haven't looked at it in a couple of years. When i cleaned it after its last use I kind of went Whoa, What happened here. I am hopping to put back into use this season.

Take it to a car wash and use the high pressure wand on it, pretty much cleans em up like new. Then re apply the mud and rub it in with a brush, let dry and you should be good to go.
