Yes I'm taking the day off. Taking my dad and 9 year old daughter. But I'm the only one with a hunting license.

A buddy and I are going to go before work and cook them up for lunch. Shouldn't take more than 30 minutes to limit out.

Your Dad doesn't hunt?

Yes, he does, or used to anyway. I thought he'd buy a license to shoot some grouse but when I asked him about it he said "no, we won't see any grouse anyway."

I'm hunting in the AM. It must have been a perfect spring for birds, in the last 6 high country hikes  I've
done (off work all last week) my birdie black lab has flushed 33 grouse, all in groups of 3 to 6., and seen 2 on
a road driving to a trailhead for a total of 35!!! CRAZY!! Last Wednesday she (the lab) flushed 14 in one day.
I feel I have down a couple birds just so she can do a retrieve or two.
Everybody have good season

You could surprise him and buy his. I would guess he bought yours once before.

Good idea, I hadn't thought of that. I'll buy him a bear tag! Only $24. Might even see a bear. But I'd really hate to shoot three grouse and then not be able to shoot anymore because I'm the only one with a license.

I start my new job on the 2nd so I'll be out on the opener with my 18 month old setter. My brother and his two setters are joining me. Happy to see the weather forecast is calling for cooler temps and some moisture. Hope to get a lot of bird contacts for my dog. Good luck all!
