"Show your guns"
« on: August 26, 2015, 07:16:14 AM »
We have a show your AR and a show me your AK threads. So how about a simple "Show your guns" thread. Any gun. Rifle, shotgun, handgun. Pellet and or BB gun, blowgun, rubberband gun, what ever. Any gun in your collection your really like and are proud of owning it.

I'll start with a gun I built from just a receiver and some schematics. I had zero knowledge on a M1 Carbine before I started this build. It's a fun gun too shoot and gives me the feel of an older military rifle.

I don't have any guns.  I have a newer Bowtech Experience, but no guns.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

Henry Mini Bolt Youth Rifle 22LR

Got it for her a few years ago and had the stock done up by some friends of mine as well as they messaged the horrid trigger it came with.  She's almost out grown it but it's still her favorite.  Here's another.

A handy little carbine. It is a D-Max made in Auburn Washington for just a few short years. I think 1988-1994. This one is in 10mm using s grease gun mag. They came in 9mm, 10mm, .45acp, .40 S&W. It was designed by an ex LEO. It combines two different gun designs. It uses a round Sten/Sterling type bolt and also uses AK trigger parts. Not too many rounds have gone through this one. To me it is a collector more than a shooter.

First one, 338 Lapua Imp.  Built on a BAT HRPIC receiver, Lilja tube, MCM adj. A5 stock

Second, Savage HBSS B Mag 17 WSM sitting in a bedded Boyds Pro Varmint stock (stock they come with is a total POS!)  Had the barrel cut back to 20 inches and threaded for use with TBAC 223P-2 can.  In factory stock form, don't expect them to shoot worth sheet but with a better stock that was bed to the receiver and a shorter and re-crowned barrel, this little bugger will now shoot well under MOA at 100yds

My favorite is this Ruger 9.5 inch barrel 22/22 Mag convertible. This pistol was produced in 1959. The hardware shown includes a brass cleaning rod, an era holster. Has been shot maybe 75 times. Very accurate. Muskrat

WOW! That's really cool. My Dad has the exact deal but I do not remember the barrel being that long. I think it might be the next size down if that is the case. I remember that you could change cylinders to make it a mag. I just got rid of a nickel 22mag cylinder for one of those on a gun forum. It was in good shape and still was in the red felt Ruger bag in came in.

Here is my deer rifle. I have had this gun for 20+ years. It has harvested 8 lout of my 9 deer so far. It is a Winchester model 70 short action in .308. 26" heavy barrel, Harris bipod, a cheap $140.00 Tasco 3-12 power scope with mil dots. I leave it at 10 power and use the mil dots for distance. It looks a little rough around the edges but it shoots like a laser. Since I hunt the wheat fields of eastern Washington it is sighted in and zeroed at 200 yards. I love this rifle.

Here is a cute pair. Leonard .45 long colt or .410 shogun derringers. One a single barrel and the other a double barrel. I built the double barrel from a kit. I had to manufacture the side plates to complete the pistol.
