I've have the same problem , all those shinny things are a distraction and for me clouded up my shot window . Last year I went with one pin at 30 yards for hunting , I figure most of shots I get here on the west side are under 40 so no need for a bunch of pins. At 10 yards I put my pin 2 inches low and at 44 I put it  2 inches high . For me it has really improved my groups. When shooting 3D's I add a 50 pin , mostly for stacking pins on the longer shots.

Sako is right you want to center your sight housing in your peep not your pin.

Why? What if you have a sight with a rectangular housing?   :)

it's like open sights on a rifle if you don't put that from sight in the same spot in the rear v every time it won't group well.  As for the rectangular housing if you're still shooting with one it's time to upgrade.

Isn't this the opposite of what radsav was talking about in his little things thread??

I shoot a single pin so not really an issue for me  :dunno:
Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake

Genius and Insanity are neighbors, and they often share sugar.

It could be your trying to see the spot your shooting at instead of trying to cover that spot your shooting with your pin. I did this forever and still do it from time to time. I shoot outlines better as well because Im not focusing on a dot to try and shoot at. My eyes arent the greatest so a little dot past 30 yards is hard for me to see especially while trying to focus through the pins. But a outline dies every time cause its easier for me to see. Once I realized thats what I was doing though I shoot dots a little better. This could be your issue as well?

It is like shooting a peep sight on a rifle ... I always liked shooting between  the pins ! I prefer game at 25 -35 and 45 just for that reason ...I am so stoked on how my bow is shooting right now ...I am seriously on ...Those new Savora heads I got from Radsav shoot as good as a 140 gr bullet out of my .270 !!!!   Lmao ...Now I just need a victim to put one threw !

Not sure if it's been suggested yet but.....

For those with issues with the pin blocking out the target, why don't you set your pins to hit dead on when aimed slightly below the target?  Works for me.
