Anyone tried a IQ retina lock bow sight?
« on: August 27, 2015, 12:00:46 PM »
These are the sights that don't need a peep to give you a consistent anchor point.  They look interesting but I think I would shoot slower trying to center the retina lock than just centering the bowsight in my peep which seems to happen naturally...

I think there was another thread about this?

I have used the retina lock type no-peep (predecessor to this?), and really liked it.  It does not take any more time to glance at it when shooting.  It is not a "sight" to be lined up as much as it is a quick reference to make sure you are holding your bow the same as usual. I don't know how this one specifically works but the one I used was lined up with your bow drawn in your normal pposition.  It was really easy to see when you are torqing your bow.

If I shot one I'd still use a peep.

Hmm, but don't you suffer from a severe case of OCD?

I can make that little dot line up with out even being totally anchored.

I put an IQ retina lock site on my bow last year and it instantly made me a more consistent shooter.   As a beginner it was money well spent.  I still shoot it with a peep as well.  I can't really imagine getting it dialed in to the point where you could shoot it without one.

So what does this mean?  Good, bad? I don't know the sensitivity of the IQ sight but the no-peep attachment was spot on if the dot was lined up.   :dunno:

If you calibrate the retina lock properly it works very well.
