Browning trail cam security box flaws

I recently purchased a Browning trail cam security box for my brand new Browning dark ops and have found a few flaws with this product. First of all I put my lock on the front of the box and noticed that my lock shackle does not quite fit the hole perfectly so there's a little slop which I discovered will allow anyone to pull up on the box and open it enabling them to steal the camera. Secondly when put my browning dark ops camera in the box after I had bolted the box to a tree the camera will not fit unless I have the bolts positioned perfectly , it barely fits because of the heads of the lag bolts holding the box to the tree stick out enough to hit the back of the cam. I had to drill a new hole in the box for my lock in order to keep people from stealing my cam. I would not recommend this product due to poor design. Hope this helps some scouters out there.

The only thing i dont like about the boxes on the browning is that if you use a cable it goes thought the camera to so you cant just take the front off and pull and check card you have to take it complete of tree and pull cable out. kinda sucks i though about cutting the cable holes on the back so i can just take front off and pull camera but havent done it yet.

Different brand but, so far I like the covert security box.  The lag bolts don't touch the camera, my anti bolt cutter lock fits the lock hole perfect and the cable lock goes through the camera and the box perfectly.  So far so good, but I haven't checked it in a couple weeks so who knows if it's still there.  I don't like the bushnell box at all, it's very flimsy and could easily be broken into with just a screw driver.  I can't under stand why these guys build crap boxes, a tiny bit more weight to have a thicker metal wouldn't hurt anyone.

Camlockbox.com... They make boxes for virtually any model of camera you can think of... They have heavy duty boxes..and just your regular 16 gauge steel box... Very reasonable on price.. And every box I've gotten has been a nice snug fit..

Did you get the Browning box specific to the Micro series?  The Dark Ops is a Micro series. camera.

Yea I got the right size of box for my cam, its just the design of the box was not very well though out as in not being secure or the locking capabilities.

I dont normally use boxes but i did buy one for one of my browning spec ops for a specific spot, what a piece of crap.  The main selling point of the spec ops is the viewer screen that shows you where youre pointing the cam when you set it up.  But you cant open the cam once its in the box and strapped to the tree, so the viewer is totally useless if you use the box.

Just went and got my Browning Dark Ops cameras and Browing Sub Micro security boxes out to take a look.  Putting mine out next week anyway so need to get them ready.  Not sure what your security box problem is as there is absolutely no slack in my boxes. 

Again....I have to believe you have the Browning boxes that are for their Special Ops cameras. Reason I say that is I've seen similar comment on other forums and that was the problem.  People were using the other slightly larger Browning box version.  Not trying to refute you comments above, just trying to make sure you do have the correct boxes.
