A few more bobcat pics
« on: January 14, 2009, 05:14:54 PM »
Got a few more pics of this nice tom on the trail cam. When I went and checked it out the carcass looked pretty clean.

Nice!  I blew it this year and didn't put a cam on my deer gut pile.

So is it true that you can shoot bobcats off of a carcass? even if the carcas was placed there by me. I heard this is true!

Why wouldn't you be able to shoot cats that are feeding on a carcass? There's no law against baiting cats, only bears.

I think I know that area, might have to go and shoot that myself.  Somebody's gotta get that little feline.

I checked with the game dept. and they said you CAN shoot a cat or bear off a carcass or gut pile IF it was a legally harvested animal BUT the gut pile or carcass has to be left at the location it was killed and CAN NOT be transported from one location to another. If you transported the carcass to another location they can get you for baiting. & no, they said you can not bait cats :dunno:. That's what they said so I just wanted to pass the info along and help cover your a$$.

"& no, they said you can not bait cats"  I'd have to see that in the RCW or any game laws.  Pretty sure there is no law against baiting lions or bobcats.
