My wife tagged out early on a doe, as she only has few day before our young'uns start school again. We processed yesterday, and the whole family was involved. Love that we can do this together. My kids are my world and cant think of better way to spend time then in the outdoors

Sorry, no field pics, it was very warm when we recovered her and I just went right to work getting her hollowed out. Also wife didn't want to hold head because of amount of ticks on her..Not pretty deer

 I realized I posted processing, but not story of hunt. We got to the area we intended to hunt at 5:00 am. We headed down to a draw, that we had decided the evening before looked good. We set up about 50 yds apart. I put her near a well worn game trail, as I wanted her to get first shot because of her limited time, and fact I was headed to elk camp wends and would have more time in woods. Just as it got light enough to see, she spotted several deer working their way down into the draw. They were angling away from her position and she set off to stalk in on them. I watched from my spot above her as she slowly worked her way to intercept. I tell you it was a thing of beauty to watch her work slowly toward them. Every bit of cover used, every footstep carefully placed.
  She got to a good bit of cover about 35 yds from where the deer were going to cross through a good opening. She let first 2 go by as the third and last deer was largest. She drew as the deer entered the opening and, then held for few seconds then let down. The deer spotted this movement and made quick exit...I was confused as to why she had not shot. I thought maybe my angle was better and she had not had clear shot. She hiked back up to where I was sitting and I asked her what had happen.
 She told me that the last one inline that I thought was large doe, had in fact been a spike with 3 inch antlers.  She was bummed, but I told her that she had done great job, and that many people might had missed the fact it was not legal deer and shot.
 We then did a bit of hiking around. It had warmed up and I figured the deer had mostly found cool place to lay. As we worked our way back to truck she spotted 2 does lying in shade on the hillside and set off to yet again stalk them. I again set and observed as she worked way toward them. I lost sight of her as she started up other side of draw and was curious as to where she had gone. Next thing I know, both does stand and are looking straight back over shoulder. All at once one jumps and the both run downhill. as the reach bottom, one heads for the high and uncut and the other slows to walk. She begins to do that stiff legged walk hat tell you her time is short and then tumbles over.
 After she is down, I see my wife stand up from a clump of scrub oak, not 20 yards fro where the deer were laying. She had worked her way into shooting position and I had not seen her move.
 She walked over and retrieved her bloody arrow and them walked to doe. I walked down to meet her and congratulate her on job well done.
I them gutted and skinned her as it was very warm by then. It was amazing to watch her, as this was her first solo stalk. I think shes has learned a few things from her Indian heritage, as it was thing off beauty

Thanks everyone. The girls been helping for couple years..My 9 y/o is kinda OCD so is great at getting any stray hairs mama might have missed
