Last year I did a 10lb rib roast, mashed taters with butter and sour cream and green beans for 1 meal.

Yummmmmm.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

We eat after dark.... and I've been prepping for 3 days.  Good food beats a bunch of random crap.  Besides without a campfire what are we gonna do until it is time to sleep :)

Cookin like a fool this AM.
Treager'd up some boneless chicken thighs & country style ribs. Also having spaghetti, stroganoff, burgers, moose steaks, biscuits and gravy, taters, BB bacon, eggs, etc.... Trying a new twist on some cookies too, Peanut Butter & Chocolate Chip, both with added Rootbeer extract.
One night will be elk heart & testicles  :yike:(if we kill a bull)

Must be tough but I will stick to my mountain house

We ate like kings. My phone crapped out after season so I don't have any pics to post.  Looking forward to see what the rifle guys are cooking and eating.

Scouting dinner consisted of fresh caught Lake Chelan cutthroat (deboned) and sauteed garden onions and tomatillos.

When I am hunting alone...I enjoy Mountain House and some apples for my fresh fruit.  I'll pack cold snacks to keep me going through the day but other than that, it is whatever I can pour JetBoil'd water into.

If a Mountain House doesn't taste good to you then go hunt/hike for a few more hours  :chuckle:
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

Wow! some really good sounding menu's

Can good soups, chili, stews and hamburgers/sandwiches most of the time. Once in a while surf and turf, steak an salmon. Mainly just no fuss meals.
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.
