What sex?

I'm guessing this is a young female.  What say you experts?

Far from an expert but I agree. Young female. Curious to hear what the real experts say.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Amazing

My preference too.

This is a little bear, I don't know female or male.  Easier to tell when moving and in color  :chuckle:

Shame on you guys.  Isn't it a bit early to be assigning gender?  I mean really, this young bear may have not decided yet as to which direction it wishes to live his/her life (look how long it took Bruce to decide) .  Yah, looks like a young sow to me also with my limited knowledge on bear identification.

haha, with a straight on picture I would probably be able to add another 10-15% confidence but with the way things are going these days, I don't want to call a male a female or vice versa. I might offend someone and then all heck will break loose.  :o :chuckle:

No, I won’t be shooting this bear.  I’ve passed up 2 opportunities already; the last one was at 15 feet.  I’m just wondering if I should expect a cub or 2 next year.

Last time I played this game, a biologist with 20+ years experience, a game warden with 30+, and a third hunter with 30+ years, all agreed we were looking at a 2.5-3.5 year old boar.  After the trigger pull and tooth aging, she was a 14.5 year old sow.  I no longer call sex on bears unless I see testicles, cubs, or an absolute toad of a dominant mature boar.
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.
