A cross? I don't know a ton but that looks quite a bit like a muley to me... great shot and great buck though.

A cross? I don't know a ton but that looks quite a bit like a muley to me... great shot and great buck though.
Almost all the Bucks over there are crosses... Hard to find a pure mule in that area now a days..

What is with calling the guy out on his shot.  What is ethical for you and your skills is not necessarily ethical for another hunter.  Obviously, by the damage and the blood and yardage after the kill, it was ethical.  Proof is in the shot and how quickly the animal died.  Jeez, it is a great deer and a hell of a shot.  This is no different than long range shots with rifles.  I would never dream of a shot over 300 yards, I am not comfortable, nor do I practice enough for that shot, but there are plenty of hunters that make shots way past that. :dunno:
