The only issue that I have with this thread is the need to even say what the distance was.
And, here's why I care. My son reads this stuff and he's a pretty good shot. But, you fill his head with feats of grand archery shots and he's going to want to see if he can do it. So, he'll move the target out to 90 yards. He'll figure where he thinks the top of his leveling bubble puts him and that is probably about 80 yards and then just hold a bit higher. And, after a few tries, he'll hit that target at 90 yards. And, he'll probably be better off for practicing at 90 yards when that 90 yard opportunity comes along.
And, 90 yards is possible. But, its more likely that he's going to miss in field conditions. Or, worse, he's going to wound.
So, whether this is a troll post or not, doesn't really matter to me. It was a dang nice buck and I wish that was all that needed to be said or talked about. But, because of threads like this, there are going to be more people than should taking 90 yard shots this year.
You've made my job as a parent just a whee bit harder than it otherwise should of been. Though you may not wound animals because of your superior skills, in your own little way, you may have caused a few animals to be wounded that would not have otherwise simply because you had to tell people that 90 yard center punch frontal shots are the way to get those big bucks.
So, whether you are trolling or telling the truth probably doesn't even matter. I'll give you that threads like this can be entertaining. Just understand that you may be doing harm by telling some archers that 90 yard shots on the big bucks is where its at.
Just something to think about.
