Lick Creek ???

Went to up in to Lick Creek for the First time Friday and Saturday.

Just wondering if any one can tell me what road number Triple Ridge and Hogback are on?

Planing on spending Deer season up there.

There off 4302 which is a closed road. The main Mt. #43 is the best way to get to hogback. Its about 1.5 mi from the Cloverland rd. I've never seen a lot of deer there, it used to be a good elk area.

They are both off of that road?? I am looking for closed roads to get away from ppl.

All the roads in there are closed except Rd 43. Its about 2 miles from 43 to the bottom of Hogback. Its harder to get into Triple from 43, a bicycle from the west end of 4302 would work. I used to ride a bike down Hogback for elk. During elk there used to be a bunch of people in there. Don't know about deer. For mules I'd hunt around Tailbone.

I've seen more whitetails in there than  mulies over the last 20 years. Past the guard station is an opening that leads to a trail that goes back in there. Was back in there last year for the deer muzzy hunt and ran into nothing but a bunch of cow elk.

Guard station? Do you mean the tall lookout tower? I am vary new to this unit so excuse my ignorance.

I  need to get a good map any recommendations??

Grab a umatilla forest map. Ive gotten mine at the forest service station in Pomeroy but im sure you can find one in Clarkston also. It's a great to have on hand.

Wenatchee Guard station is about a mile west of the Colverland Rd. The Ranger station should have a good map.

I tried stoping in there last Friday around 1pm but there door was locked, wonder if I can get them to send me a map.

  You can pick up a Forest Service map at the ranger station in Pomeroy. There is usually someone there during business hours except naybe during lunch time.
