Just got a Tikka T-3 lite in .270WSM was wondering what is your go to for up to 500 yard shooting I've always shot a 300 win-mag or a .308 with heavier bullets any info would be most generous

I dont have any experience with the WSM, but I am working on a load with the 150NABLR in my 270 Win.

IIRC the factory Nosler loading for the 270WSM with that bullet is pushing 2950 fps..you could go faster.

I think Litz tested the G7 BC for that bullet at 0.291

I have owned mine for I think about 12 years.  This is all I have shot through it.  Killed deer elk and bear with 130 grain.  It starts to drop of at 300 yds 6 inches and drops 19" at 400 yds.  I smoked a buck at 469 yards a few years back.

If you handload....try 130gr. TTSX's ahead of 215M's and a healthy dose of RL22.

I love the 270WSM and the 300WSM's (all in T-3's)....... ;)......good choice.

Not much more versatile than either of these.
