Put mine to the test in ak last year moose hunting, performed well. I also think that it is far superior to the single layer Sitka rain gear. Only down fall so far is durability, I've pretty well tattered mine

What don't you like about the Sitka gear? Interested in quality rain gear myself

Best rain gear on the market, in my opinion.

The Sitka is more expensive, louder, and less durable.

If the Chugach Raingear by Kuiu isnt durable enough for you, the Yukon version is much heavier and durable.  I will say that both the Chugach and the Yukon are a bit noisy but the best rain gear out there....in my opinion.

I had a set of sitka downpour and wore out the pants pretty quickly, the gortex just shredded. The jacket has held up well. I have some chugach now and so far so good, love the stretch it has and its packability. I had a member on here tell me they don't think its light enough for true backpacking rain gear... I certainly wouldn't want it any lighter.

Glad to find this thread, Im thinking of making the switch from Kings camo over to Kuiu. Just picked up two brand new Kuiu 6000-3000 packs with frames and bow holder off another member for a great price. I almost like the 3000 better then my kifaru dt3 for light weight. Gonna start picking up some more gear and with only being a western wa hunter, rain gear is a must.
One touch of nature makes the whole world kin.
