rock dove any good?

I've got a neighbor with a pigeon problem in the barn. I was wondering if anyone on here has tried eating pigeon. These aren't city pigeons so they eat mostly grain and bugs. I figured that they probably taste like dive but I thought I'd ask if anyone had some good recipes. Thanks!

Lots of old recipes from France for them, guess they used to rate a bit higher in the foodie circle.
