Very remarkable outcome I'll tell you my heart sunk upon hearing the story because I and all other solo hunters and backpackers have to consider this very possibility every time we go out alone. What other wise  would not have been a life threatening injury quickly becomes one because of the area's we go and the off trail routes we often take in pursuit of game.
Two things are for sure he had the LORD in his heart and the guy had GRIT.

A reminder to remember your survivor skills. Every one wants to go as lite as they can, but don't forget your first-aid kits, and plans for emergencies. Glad he made it out.
