Quote
“As the passengers were leaving … many people said that they had lost all faith in mankind,” Elliott recalled. “But they said: ‘After five days here in Gander, you’ve restored that faith in me.’ And I think if there’s one legacy that we’ll be known for, it’s that there are still good people left in the world.”

Always carry a flagon of whiskey in case of snakebite and furthermore always carry a small snake

Genius and Insanity are neighbors, and they often share sugar.

Had a guy come in today to the parts and pick up a pretty basic antenna....asked for a military discount and I of course said sure. He began to pull out his wallet and asked if I'd like to see his ID. I said nope, if you are dumb enough to ask today and not deserve it then you deserve what comes around in the long run. Knocked off a quick 20%, shook his hand and gave him a simply thank you. Made me feel a little bit better about today.

I was stationed on the USS Kitty Hawk CV63 when this happened.  Still feels like yesterday to me, and still in disbelief on how it all unfolded.

Total disbelief when I heard the horrible news. Just like JFK and Reagan. I watched the news for hours and yet, nothing has been done to the  Islamic terrorists, who did this to nearly 3,000, peaceful, unaware people at work. Our corrupt government, could take care of business in one fell swoop. I could go on, but what for ? We're a country ran by a bunch of liberals, who won't hurt a flea..... :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:

May the families and friends of those fallen, to the religious nut jobs, be at peace today. I'll do my best, NOT to forget !
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I dropped out of hs and joined the CG 6 months after 911.  I still remember watching the news when this happened for me. It was early morning eating breakfast before school in alaska.  Jets flying all over from elmendorf

I cannot forget. Cannot forget the lives lost. Cannot forget the things I saw. Cannot forget the things I heard.  Cannot forget the things I smelled. I cannot forget the things I had to do. Each one brings a different tear.

I was on my way in to work at the fire station when the initial reoprts of a plane into one of the towers came across initially sounding like a small plane, I walked in the door and the guys had the tv on and not one word was uttered watching it. Then the second plane hit. When the first tower collapsed,as one of the search team managers for the FEMA Puget Sound Urban Search and Rescue Team, I started making phone calls to all my search canines and technical search specialists to see who was available, I knew after Oklahoma City we would be going sooner or later.
Within hours we were ready to load at McChord even having an aircraft available, we were put on hold for 6 days before deploying.

There is no greater respect to have for wildlife than to harvest an animal fairly and use it's flesh to feed your family.  ~me

And as a result, we have unconditional support for any war the corrupt lying Federal government wants to wage for bankers, and the huge wave of nationalism that has followed. We also lost many freedomsband liberty as a result. The police state is erupting and we are all learning to live like prisoners with no privacy. Next .....maybe thought crime prosecution.

We have lost the United States as a sovereign nation. while everyone fights the strawman in the desert, our own politicians sell out to every Intrest except the American peoples.
