Cool, Just posted my first pic on this site without Firefighter4607's help! Well I got this deer in the evening on opening day 2007 in Oregon. I glassed him from accross a canyon and had to move fast to get over to him before the end of shooting hrs. Well when I got over there, he saw me about the same time I saw him and he bolted from right to left on a dead leaping run. Well the good Lord helped me with shot placement on this deer, right threw the neck! I used my WBY in 30-06, 150 hornaday hand load.

Is that an oregon whitetail.Saw a lot around roseburg close to where my daughter lives.

Yep, Oregon Whitetail. He came from our ranch in Wallowa county. We are seeing many more Whitetails and the Muleys are getting tough to find. I like to shoot Muley bucks myself. I shot a lot of Whitetails in Pennsylvania as a kid.
