If the camera is on the west side, I say mountain beaver.

My neighbor has been getting those on his cam.

Could also be a Nutria. The population of those are growing up here.

I do not see the tail as being up in the air, but Ill agree that it looks like a striped skunk walking the other direction. Notice the stripe coming off of the right shoulder (remember it is facing away from the camera).

Ok I'll admit it may be facing away from the camera but ...    it seems to me that skunks have a lot more white in their tails even when they are down  also to me that spot on its side looks like the flash of the camera shining off its fur not a stripe

Skunks have a huge variation in color pattern and amount of white on them especially in the tail. Just do a google image search of striped skunk and you'll see what I mean. Hard to say for certain though it isn't the best shot.
