Washington fires
« on: September 15, 2015, 10:03:06 PM »
Fire; non-discriminating, devastating and cruel. It brings destruction, anguish and hardship. But fire is also a blessing, it breathes new life into our world. It clears our land of debris. With time the land will heal itself, it is a natural part of a cycle that has been going on before our time. We must remember that we do not control this world, rather, we are simply beings who have been given the privilege to manage it as best we can.

My heart goes out to all those who lost property and their life's work in this years disasterous season and to those who have lost their lives fighting the devastation. In the last month I have had the privilege to work along some of the world's best fire fighters on the collville reservation as a member of the 81st brigade combat team of the Washington national guard. Please, if you can, donate what you can to help those affected by the Devastation and those agencies working to ensure OUR wildlife recovers. In this time of need, let's come together and help those who have lost everything. Thank you all for being so generous in this time of need.

God bless you and yours and God bless our great nation.

These fires we are having now are not natural..  We have been putting out fires for a 100 years that would have kept the undergrowth in control.  We grazed cattle and thinned the forests to substitute for the lack of fires.  Then the environmental groups started protesting timber management and cattle grazing. The Federal Forests are now an overgrown diseased mass of highly flammable trees, brush and grass. When a fire starts it becomes a catastrophic fire that sterilizes the earth. After the fire the erosion washes away topsoil and polluting rivers more than all human activity ever could. The smoke and pollutants released into the atmosphere is a thousand times more than our gasoline cars and coal fired electric plants.  These massive fires we are having now were brought on by our poor management of our forests and range land. These environmental groups are legal terrorists destroying our country. These fires are definitely not natural.
