Gun Stippling
« on: September 22, 2015, 02:33:31 PM »
Know any gunsmiths in the area of Portland to Tacoma area that can do a good stipple job on a Glock? I'm asking for a friend and the only gunsmith I know in my area is Clark County Guns smith and I'm not even sure he can do it and have no experience with him.

Its pretty easy to do yourself, just use a wood burning kit with different tips and practice before touching the gun. I have done a couple and they turned out pretty good. I practiced on old A2 AR15 grips.

I thought about going that route too, but I'm glad that I didn't.

I went with the Talon Grips and they work perfectly on all of my Glocks.  They make these grips for every Glock model that I'm aware of.  Super thin, perfect cut-outs, comes in either rubber or sand paper textures and adheres very well.  Better yet, if you ever sell your Talon gripped Glock, simply remove the grips and unlike stippling, you have a Glock that is as is from the factory so the new owner can do whatever he/she feels like doing to it......if anything.  Best part, they're inexpensive yet very well made and durable.

My son and I both truly are sold on these grips and we've tried a great many of them.

Good luck.

I told my buddy I wouldn't mess with it either but also said I would check around for him. I'm not *censored* enough to do it myself either. I found a place in Amboy that does it for about $100. Ill let you guys know if he goes that rout and what he thinks of them for future reference.

thanks guys.
