big Quinault bull....anyone know about it?
« on: September 21, 2015, 01:35:47 PM »
Has anyone heard of a big bull being taken by a Quinault tribal member recently. I heard from a couple different people that it is a 9x9, but nobody seems to have a picture.

I haven't heard anything.  Seems like I would've.  There was a decent crowned 7x7 taken out of the Clearwater a week or so ago by some young kid who got lucky while road hunting.  It got a lot of attention by looky-loo's and they might've even got stopped by LEO's, so I wouldn't be surprised if it grew to a 9x9 by now.  It actually wasn't that big.  A decent 5 x 5 with 14 more inches of kickers maybe.

You are correct.  A 7x7 that was basically a decent 5x5 with 14 mores inches of antler between 6's and crown points.  It was a decievingly small bull...that I would never pass on and almost certainly mount. :chuckle:

Am I crazy. Isn't  that a 6 point with an additional crown point per side? Making it a 7x7???

Yes it looks to be a 4 point with doubles And the extra kickers. I think he is trying to say it's a 3pt with doubles frame before the add ons.

Admittedly, I would be calling it a royal 7x7 if I shot it...or maybe even a 7x8 for that little pimple on its eyeguard.

Ummm...alright alright alright...I don't see a tag, no orange and by the only evidence provided shows just head taken so obviously a tribal kill and they left the meat...no wonder they got stopped by l.e.o.s
