We have a stand that we call the "Skyscraper" it is 45 feet in the tree. I shot a buck out of it a few years back. It is a little bit crazy being that high in the tree but that is how high it needed to be to see both fields.
Do you still take the bow or do you just have to drop the arrows out of the tree?

I wouldn't worry about the swaying, it is more regular than a boat and a sight picture could be timed if necessary.  He also said "valley" so I am assuming his stand is not up on an exposed windy ridge.

LOL yeah it's really high. I shot a buck out of it a few years ago that was only like 12 yards from the base of the tree. The arrow went in good left right wise but came out on the right side of the brisket. It's a real steep angle. Not sure I would make that shot again as I feel like I was very lucky.
