They seem like they would be a good bullet, but I decided not to try them since I read a review and the accuracy was not good, and it was the same muzzleloader I have.

I just re-read the review and I got the FPB confused with another bullet. The issue with them wasn't a lack of accuracy, but that they are extremely difficult to load.

I found them tough to start in my Knight Disc Extreme but they shot good on paper - I tried the 300 grain

I get tighter groups with other bullets, 300 gr fpb's were 3" groups at 50yrds, 100gr fffg, knight wolverine.  My gun has never liked Hornady conicals for some reason, that includes the saboted sst.

Ok I can live with that. Nothing a little bore butter and elbow grease won't fix.

I file the bottom, a bevel helps with loading ,,

Personally I don’t like any bore sized bullets.  I get better results with a sabot and .45 or .44 caliber bullet.

Winchman when you say you are filing the bottom are you not chamfer the leading edge of the bottom of the bullet so that it starts in the bore with more ease.

Maybe ifn you took a picture of one the bullets you have modified and post it here and on Rok Slide more folks would understand what is happening...

Still wish you would try some of those 50x325 Bloodines slightly knurled with a sub base underneath...

Keep shooting muzzleloaders - They are a blast!!
