KUIU Pants
« on: September 24, 2015, 11:25:05 PM »
I got home tonight to a package on the door step holding two pairs of KUIU Attack pants. I am going to have to keep wearing my old wool pants.... These things are too nice to wear out in the woods and they are comfortable too.

Haha. I'm excited to start wearing mine next week in WY. Wore the tiburon pants for early archery. So comfortable!

I got a set 2 weeks ago. I absolutely love them best pants I have ever owned.

Can you wear the Kuiu gaiters with the Alpine pants since they have the knee pads?

Aren't the Alpines the same material as the attacks? I may be wrong. I never considered the attacks loud but maybe the Alpines have a different finish.

The attack pants received this year are definately louder than before. No comparison. I know of a couple pair that never left camp after a day.

Good to know. Any input on the noise level of the new Teton pants?

I did during elk season, it worked ok. The Alpines are louder then other Kuiu pants. Not sure what the deal is but they aren't so loud you can't hunt in them. You are probably moving too fast and have other noise to worry about if they are. The fit is weird imo...these things are really big, not athletic fit at all. I wear a 38 in everything and I am swimming in the Alpines.

That's odd odell. The attack pants are the exact opposite. Almost too much of an athletic fit and definately run a size too small.

Much quieter than my Cabelas Trail Hiker canvas pants. They seem to be ahs quiet as the wool ones I wear, but much lighter and more comfortable.

Any reviews on the Chinook pants? How do they compare with the attacks? I love my attacks (in major brown), and am looking to get a camo pair (vias) of kuiu's.. thanks!  hard to imagine the attacks being loud...

I ran Alpines during early season, they are way quieter than my old MT050 bibs were.  I wore Kenetrek gaiters with mine since Kuiu were still backordered.  I think that they are great and fill all of my needs for early season pants.  They are a little different fit compared to my Guides but I think it was a inseam thing and the lack of the fleece backing.  I just got my Chugach set in finally so trying to decide if I will run my Guide or Alpines under that.  I guess it depends on temps for late archery.
