Westside vendor recommendations - bear rug
« on: September 25, 2015, 11:40:20 AM »
I got my first bear this year and albeit small, I'd like to either tan it with the hair on, or make a rug.

Any recommendations on westside places to take it to?

I've used Cedar River Taxidermy for a couple of things. Nice guy and great to do business with. He is listed in the taxi section give him a call or message. I was in his shop last week. He had a great looking bear mount and some of the better cat work I've seen.

Another vote for Cedar River.  Great guy and does excellent work.
He did the bear that's in my avatar.  I don't have a picture of the rug but I was very happy with the result and the time it took.

Rainier taxidermy, zach does excellent work. I was very happy with my rug he did for me a couple years ago. He got it done faster than I expected as well. Congrats on your bear!

Cedar river does great work rick is a straight forward guy. I had a lifesize bear done by him last year and also a soft tan on a bear from year and they both turned out awesome

Thanks everyone!

One more question; are there any specific details I should request in the making of the rug; or is a rug - a rug?
