BTW. ......Ghost hunter in Indian means old gray haired gazelle!
Old grey haired geezer
Plat lied to you

Actually,  that's pale face brother runs-with-goats as us young guys , well me anyways :rolleyes: :chuckle:  , were struggling going up the chute he stood there with ease, or when we were holding the goat trying to get position to butcher he stood there holding legs, shooting sticks and the camera as if he was standing there barefoot gripping the rocks, or when we were sucking wind on the way back to the truck he was cool and calm. You wouldn't have known he was old enough to probably be our father. I will give it to him, when I've climbed to that age I want to be able to still do this as him. I don't know any his age that would be in the wilderness by themselves hunting elk but yet there he is, my hats off to you sir.  :salute:

Okay back to the story;

As we were staring up at him on the cliff wobbling back and forth I got into position and then re-positioned as I took aim. I was now in a position I had been in so many times I could've taken a nap snuggled up to the ring, my precious (okay, coach's precious) her big shapely firm butt..........stock, beautiful big shiny eye (optic) and long slender firm leg (barrel) with a touchy grip and feather trigger...... :drool:

I stared intently at my target as it continued to sway almost ready to fall but still fighting the urge to stand, as if defiant to the end.

I moved my finger into position by placing it in her.............trigger.

Man, oh man, oh man...One of my alarms kids just woke me up guess I better finish this story...

The cond...ummm...safety was off and I was ready to finish. :chuckle:  The goat had been quartering away but as if he knew I was sighted in on him he managed to hobble and turned broadside showing me his left side. I lightly squeezed the trigger and reached out and touched something.

As it struck the goat he gave a quick buck and dropped sideways. At first glance the original thought was he had expired right there until he came into sight from behind the rock face and was now gaining some momentum spiraling down the chute.

As I laid there all I could think was damn it do it damn it, don't break a horn, don't break a horn don't break a horn which turned into roll all the way roll all the way roll all the way!!!!! At some point the goat hit the E-brake and stopped at the top of the chute.

Not nearly as high but still a steep unstable climb. As light was fading we started the ascent with the goal of getting him down before it was dark.  As we got to him and drug him down light was fading and the decision was made to split him in half and pack out in 1 trip.

As we we loaded up and started down the remainder of the chute the sun was gone and darkness crept in. With the destruction of the one there was no "eagles to swoop in and carry us out" so we descended the raider of the chute in the cover of darkness and regrouped with the boss and 2pt slayer and started the trek back to the trucks.

As we arrived back at the trucks there was no crowded lot of people celebrating the end of our journey, the fellowship had now ended and nothing...as we shook hands and exchanged numbers the journey was now complete and real.

A victory steak was now in order down at whistlin jack.
