6mm Ackley improved. I want to build one some day.
"Shoot the spike".  It's much easier to pack out!

I'd take a laser gun in a heart beat.

.260 rem and .35 Whelen.

I really think the .260 would be my perfect high country deer round and the .35 would be my perfect rain forest elk round, but instead I use my 30-06 for everything.

You will never shoot a camp bull by spending all your time hunting in the woods.

I think I love the 6.5x47 Lapua but I've never even seen a round in person.
FWIW I have a .280 Rem. I've shot maybe 25 rounds through it. Trying to get it dialed in to hunt with it this year. Not sure if it's finicky, doesn't like what I fed it, maybe I stink as a shooter, but I couldn't get anything better than about 2.5" groups at 100 yards today. Need some more trigger time for sure.

Send you T/C to Mike Bellm in Oregon..
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Favorite pistol round: 44 special

Favorite hunting round: 280AI

Favorite abuse my shoulder round: 45-90

Lots to choose from, and have some that work better for different aplications but really I love this trio.
