hey trad hunters 3 fletch or 4 fletch

I need opinions here,56 lb 28 inch draw...I want to buy some arrows and get shooting...also best arrow for the money..I plan on shooting 125 grain broad heads,my bow is a sapphire hawk long bow

I use the three fletch goldtips., with 125 Magnus stingers.   The wood grained carbons.  I think they are light for my set up but work wonders, so hard to change.  I'm not a number cruncher.  I just shoot and kill things.   A lesser spine tends to work better.

If you're thinking about wood arrows, go with 60-65 spine for your draw weight and point.  Three 5" or even 4" will work for fletching.

My personal arrows are 75-80 spine with three 5" ... for a 60# @ 29" recurve

If shooting off the shelf I always prefer three fletch.  Also as a right hand shooter I prefer LW fletch when shooting off the shelf.

Another vote for three fletch. Contrary to popular opinion you may get better flight with cock feather facing in to the sight window, especially if you are shooting off the shelf.

Im seeing that 3 fletch cock feather in is popular with many trad shooters..

I'm gonna do some 4 fletch on a few and i'll let you know.

By the way. I was shooting without string silencers and had 145 grain tips that were shooting perfect. Added some yarn string silencers and the arrow acted way to stiff. Had to go to a 250 grain tip to get good arrow flight.
Think i'll back down to the bare string, or pick up some cat whiskers.
Just a thought before you do a bunch of arrow tuning is to have your bow set up EXACTLY how you will be hunting with it. Little changes in set up can make a big difference in arrow flight.

Where are you located?  I have several different sized aluminum shaft, fletched and unfletched.  I am in Olympia.  One things that gets me is having to buy a 1/2 dozen of shaft just to try and find what I am looking for in flight.  Also remember that adding weight or drag to the back of the arrow will stiffen it up.  I personally like to bare shaft tune for a slightly under spined shaft and stiffen it up once fletched.
