I've seen them across the highway in 364 many times but haven't ever been able to get them to talk in the spring.  My friend got one there a few years back so if you can find them in the spring then its worth it.

I play up there quite a bit......   only seen turkeys a few times.

IMHO opinion, not worth hunting turkey there.    I drive right by to go turkey hunting.

A lot of those birds migrate long distances each year when the snow falls. Sometimes they come back to the same area, sometimes they don't. There are many many better places to hunt then that. The birds havnt been up there enough years yet. And are having a lot harder time making a go of it then other places in the state.

Yeah finding them in the spring could be tough. I once saw a group of 8 toms in November while elk hunting at 6200 feet near the top of Quartz Mountain!  :yike: They were in goat country! There is no way they would be anywhere near that area in the spring as it would still be buried in significant snowpack.

I've never been able to find them during turkey season in the bethel, I hunt other areas around yak county since it's where I live. But there are far better places to hunt them in this state.
