Well I started working on traps and before I knew it, it was dark :chuckle:
But I think I got a good set up for my mink power door traps.  This design they just have to give the bait a slight tug and it triggers the door.  Bait will hang from a hook. Dosent take much of a pull towards the door and the door slams shut hard.  Time will tell if it works. Also put in a door for re-baiting on the end.  Second one I think turned out the best.

now I just need to figure out the double door swim threw for beaver and otter and I'll be happy till I start playing with bobcat traps.  I'm having trouble figuring out how to make the trigger so it can be set off from either direction and trigger both doors :dunno: I can see how this stuff gets addictive 8). I did build 3 beaver colony traps. We'll see how those work out.

I built a baever colony, and ccaught 4 beaver in it 2 years ago. It worked well. I would have to do some body work after each beaver though.

9x15x48. 12x15x48. 12x18x48.  I'm optimistic they will work out, plan is to set on some travel routes and entrances to the huts. but I'm thinking about buying a few swim threw's as well.

My trap is almost identical to those. The most damage I had was that they pushed the doors out pretty good. I just had to hand tweek them a bit, and it was fine. I only used it the last 2 month of the season, and caught 4 beaver with it. Last year I had bought some swim throughs from bruce, so I didn't use it.

I was thinking I might have to add some 1/4" round to the door. Thanks I'll do that tomorrow. that should help with that issue
Every hut I've gotten to so far I marked the entrance and second entrance when I found it

Yea, I have  1/4" at the doors. I dont think it will hold without it. I have pictures of it on here in my thread from 2013/14 season.
