Flyway Highway anyone see the episode this weekend?
« on: October 05, 2015, 01:34:45 PM »
For a TV Host he sure was pretty lax about muzzle control. They were duck/goose hunting in Canada and there's a shot of him standing in front of his layout blind with his muzzle pointed right at him while he's doing his schpeel.(9:10 in the show) For me that's a big no no. Anyone goes out front all guns are pointed straight up or to the rear. Then there was another show can't remember the name of it. After the hunt they were putting their shotguns in a atv and as they were putting them in the muzzles were pointing at hunters trying to get into the atv. Guns were not cased as well.
Rant over.......

If you are gonna watch those shows, get used to it.  One of the reasons I quit watching them.
Spent most of my $$ on huntin, fishin & retrievin dogs, the rest I just pretty much wasted.

It's often a camera perspective issue, as well. I think it was Bearpaw who once said that he'd done a show and it looked like there was a serious muzzle control issue when there really wasn't. Could this be the case here? If not, maybe write to the show.  :dunno:

I've only have a few more days to wait until I can pull out the boomstick and hopefully not see anymore tv waterfowl hunting shows. Well at least 109 days.

I can remember my first reality check, the class room in hunters education, and then the real world.  Muzzle control very important but it is all the other stuff that gets dangerous and kills most duck hunters which is drowning, elements, boats, and driving to the spot as examples.  Minnesota I believe has the most famous incident that killed many duck hunters in one day do to a surprise winter storm.
Don't read my post if facts hurt your feeling.
