That's a satisfying feeling when they dump in their tracks like that.  I had a buddy get me on a muley a couple of years ago.  We jumped him in his bed and he was headed straight away, up the opposite canyon at a trot.  I put the crosshairs on his neck, thinking that I would hit him between his shoulderblades, but he hopped into the bullet and drilled him in the back of the neck at 235 yards.  When we walked up to him he was splayed out with legs in 4 different directions like a cartoon piano fell on him :chuckle:

My buddy video taped the whole thing... sort of.  He got so excited that he forgot to point the camera at the deer when I was shooting.  So we have some really sweet video of the stalk, jumping him out of his bed, and him running away, then my videographer's feet as he jumped up and down yelling "great shot!"   :bash:
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

That's Funny! To bad the video did not get the kill shot!
Yes that buck did drop like a rock! He kinda did a cartwheel and landed with a loud "thud"! To bad you cant bottle up that great feeling and take a dose when you need one!
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

I know what you mean.  THe same buddy that got me on that one in 2006 dumped one in the same area a couple of years before that was running straight at him.  Accidentally shot him in the face.  He cartwheeled too.  I've got a picture of that buck somewhere.  I'll post it if I can find it later.
